FAQ

1.What is the Capital Market Accelerator Program?

It is a four-weekend, 48-hour classroom program that takes you from how the market works to researching a whole sector and presenting it to a panel. You learn equity research first (how to analyse an economy, an industry and a company), then futures and options, with every teaching day ending in a hands-on session.
It is built for students who want to do the work of an analyst, not just study the theory.

Four consecutive weekends – eight days in total, six hours of teaching each day, 48 hours of live instruction. Classes run on Saturdays and Sundays only, so they do not clash with weekday college.

At the FinX Institute (formerly BSE Institute), in the heart of Mumbai’s financial district – Fort, opposite CST station. It is a classroom program with instructor-led sessions, small batches, interactive discussion and a technology-enabled classroom.

Second- and third-year undergraduate students who want a career in Equity Research, Wealth Management, Investment Banking or Capital Markets. It suits anyone building their profile ahead of internships and placements.

No. There is no prerequisite subject and no prior stock-market knowledge is assumed. The program starts with the basics – how the market works and what a research analyst does – and builds up from there. Students from any stream are welcome.

No. You will learn to use AI as a research tool during the program – and, just as importantly, to check its output, because in finance a wrong number is costly. No prior AI or coding experience is needed.

The program fee is ₹20,000 plus GST. It is inclusive of study material and program resources.

Complete the enquiry or enrolment form and the program team will get in touch to take you through the next steps and confirm your seat. Seats in each batch are limited, so it is worth applying early.

The program is open to 2nd- and 3rd-year undergraduate students across all streams. What matters most is your interest in capital markets and your willingness to put in the work – not your marks.

The program team will walk you through the available payment options when you enquire. Reach them at finxinstitute.training@finxpert.org or +91 70581 53370.

11. What will I actually be able to do by the end?
Read a company and an industry, form a view backed by real data, understand how futures and options are used to manage risk, and present a research report you can defend. In short, you leave able to do the job, not just describe it.
Real data throughout. You work with actual annual reports, live economic releases, live share prices and real options data – the same information a working analyst uses. Every teaching day ends with a hands-on session where you do the work yourself.
Yes, and the program is designed for someone meeting them for the first time. You start with what these contracts are and why they exist, then move to how futures and options work and the strategies used to manage risk. You will price a real contract on the exchange website and read a live options screen yourself.
This program focuses on research and judgement – how a company and a sector are analysed, and how a value is arrived at and read critically. It is not an Excel financial-modelling course. That is a separate, more advanced skill, and anyone promising both in 48 hours would be overstating it.
It is built around doing, not listening. Concepts are applied the same day through real reports, live market data, market simulations, AI-assisted research and practical exercises – you analyse, build and present, rather than only take notes.
It is your first complete piece of research. You are given a sector and you research the whole thing – the economy behind it, the industry, the companies that operate in it, and the risks – then present your findings to a panel that questions you on them.
Yes. You present it to a panel and are expected to explain and defend your research. The final day also includes a short test as part of completing the program.
Yes – that is the point of it. Your research report becomes the first tangible piece in your portfolio, and it lets you show a recruiter how you researched a sector, analysed companies, assessed risk and formed a view, rather than just claiming you can.
On successful completion you receive a Program Completion Certificate for the Capital Market Accelerator Program, issued by FinX. The top three performers are recognised with 1st, 2nd and 3rd rank awards at the closing ceremony.

The program is designed to make you employable – through real skills and a portfolio piece – and it connects you with FinX’s wider BFSI hiring ecosystem of 50+ partners such as Aditya Birla Capital, Groww, Motilal Oswal, HDFC Securities, Kotak Securities and Mirae Asset. Access to that ecosystem is an opportunity.

Yes. Analysing industries and companies, reading annual reports, understanding valuation, working with market data and presenting a research view are exactly the skills that stand out in internship and early-career interviews across Capital Markets and BFSI.

Practising and senior BFSI professionals – the FinX academic mentor and trainer panel includes people who have led at organisations such as the BFSI Sector Skill Council of India, major banks and asset managers. You learn the material from people who have done the work.
