How long is the NISM certificate valid?

certificates remain valid for three years from the date of passing. You must re-attempt the exam to renew the certification.

Can I take the NISM exam from home?

NISM no longer offers remote proctored exams. All exams must now be taken at registered test centres

How many times can I attempt a NISM exam in a year?

There is no official limit on the number of attempts; you may book another slot immediately after your result is released, subject to seat availability.

Can I reschedule my NISM exam date after booking?

You can reschedule once free of charge if you make the change at least 15 days before the original slot; after that window, NISM charges the full fee for a new booking.

What happens if I fail the exam?

You may re-register immediately and re-appear. However, the full exam fee must be paid for each new attempt.
